Materials Planner/Buyer

   The position:

• Management of production materials from our global supply base using MRP and E-kanban tools
• Vendor appraisal and improvement
• Inventory analysis and control
• Controlling and monitoring  of freight forwarding
• Implementing Supplier changes
• Liaising with Engineering, Quality and Production in terms of bills of materials and engineering changes
• Maintaining and implementing industry best practice in Supply Chain Management techniques

   The requirements:

• Candidates must possess a Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Studies or other associated disciplines. Alternatively candidates with a lesser qualification and 2 years experience may be considered
• Good working knowledge of microsoft office
• Enthusiastic, self motivated individual who can demonstrate strong analytical and presentation skills
• Self starter working with minimum supervision
• Have passion for innovation and personal development

Salary £18-20k
