MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
To manage all gas, oil, solid fuel and plumbing work for a range of clients.
This will encompass emergency response, planned service and installation work. It may also include electrical work.
The role is to ensure that all work is undertaken to the necessary high quality, that health and safety requirements are adhered to, and that labour is effectively and efficiently deployed. The job will also require justification, selection, supervision and monitoring of subcontractors.
MAIN ACTIVITIES / KEY TASKS
- Develop and continually improve work planning and assignment systems
- Develop and maintain management information and KPIs
- Identify continually improvements for personnel
- Ensure potential disputes with tenants are identified and resolved urgently
- Develop good working relationships with key customers and contracts
- Participate in disciplinary procedures
- Ensure all elements of Health & Safety legislation and corporate image are adhered to.
- Monitor individual performance and identify specific training needs
- Liaise closely with commercial and resource control units to establish work standards and costs
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
- RGII qualified
- Oftec qualified
- Knowledge of gas and oil product, both technical and health and safety elements. (ACS Domestic / Commercial qualifications would be an advantage)
- Ability to undertake full pre- installation survey including sketch drawing
- Experience of project management and good personal knowledge of customers and relevant subcontractors
- Excellent people management ( including sub contractors) skills
- Excellent supervisory and communications skills
- Ability to administer disciplinary procedures
- Full clean driving licence
